STOP N Shop customers at Central Waigani are the first to taste locally-produced milk from Ilimo Dairy Farm at 14-Mile outside Port Moresby.
This was the first of several free tasting events that will be done in the lead up to the retail launch of Ilimo Milk by Innovative Agro Industries.
Stop N Shop retail manager Rygene Tiu gave the thumbs-up.
“Our customers are enjoying the free samples and have good things to say about how it is very fresh, with a great taste,” she said.
“This is the first milk that has been produced in PNG, and hopefully, it will be available soon with Stop N Shop being the first to sell it.
“They have not disclosed the price but for sure it will have to be at a lower price as it is made in the country.
“All the milk products we sell are imported and I am sure our customers will enjoy having this option to purchase locally-produced milk.”
Innovative Agro Industries business development manager Gallit Tamir said the free taste event was to introduce the public to Ilimo Milk, which would be in shops very soon.
