PUMA Energy PNG Ltd country manager and director Hulala Tokome says one of its sites did not pick up petrol over the last few days in Wewak which caused a shortage.
Tokome said: “We do have petrol available in Wewak in our terminal facilities.
“We have three service stations in Wewak which are all dealer operated.
“Our terminal manager and the team are arranging to have their delivery trucks pick up petrol from our facility and fill up their tanks.
“Our other service station and Wewak commercial centre have petrol available.”
Tokome said the new K13.38 million Puma Gerehu Community Retail Village service station opposite the Nature Park in Port Moresby will be opened tomorrow.
He said Puma would be progressively upgrading its current sites throughout the network and also looking to building greenfield sites.
Puma is the country’s largest downstream and midstream petroleum company with a network of 101 retail sites around the country.
