Show brings out Port Moresby’s top dogs

PORT Moresby-based dogs and their owners participated in the 2018 Dog Show on Saturday.
The event was organised by the Royal Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) to educate people of the importance of taking care of our animals and upholding their rights.
The show started at 9am with seven competition categories:

  • Biggest dog in NCD;
  • Smallest dog in NCD;
  • Dog obedience;
  • Dog with the smartest tricks;
  • Dog with the most-interesting looking fur;
  • Dog who most resembles his or her owner; and
  • Best dog on the day.

Presentations were made at the end of the show.
Four-month-old dog Bunny snatched five prizes to be top dog.
Bunny won the most-interesting fur, dog obedience, smartest dog tricks, dog who resembles his or her owner and best dog on the day category. “Bunny made my day,” said proud owner Chloe Adema.
“I am happy about the show and looking forward for the next one in 2019.”
