Simon Kaiwi has done the work

Letters

SINCE the breakaway of Jiwaka from the rest of Western Highlands during the reign of Sir Michael Somare’s National Alliance-led government, the dream of Jiwaka people materialised when Simon Kaiwi was in the Government engine room as National Alliance Party president.
To you Simon Kaiwi, or SK, you did what you could at the time, not through a letter or phone call to Somare but a face-to-face conversation.
You are a real “hatwok man” behind the realisation of Jiwaka to be on its own.
Many con men these days claim themselves to be “hatwok man” but the Jiwaka people have yet to see their achievements to confirm their claims.
SK, you are an achiever, a flag bearer and a real Jiwaka “hat wok man” because you have proved yourself to the Jiwaka people.
You were one of the first Jiwaka sons to venture into business in setting up your security firm – Protect Wormald – which over time, grew to be another successful and major firm employing many Papua New Guineans and expatriates.
Through your business success and credible reputation and standing in the country, the Somare Government had bestowed you the honour in appointing you NA president.
That’s a rare achievement.
You made us Jiwakans proud.
You carried the Jiwaka flag on the national scene in business and politics.
Now the Jimi, Waghi and Kambia people are throwing their support behind you in the Jiwaka regional seat.
If you are successful, do something for the teary eyes and the forgotten and hopeful hearts in outback Jimi and Kambia.
To conclude, I want to thank Jiwakans for voting for SK.
