Sir Michael had Godly attributes

Letters

I WAS touched by the many tributes of how Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare has impacted lives of people and would like to share my sentiments.
Sir Michael was unique in portraying the real image of God.
The Bible states four divine attributes of God Jehovah; love, justice, wisdom and being like His son Jesus Christ.
Sir Michael possessed some of those attributes that enabled him to move mountains of uncertainty.
It takes a lion’s heart to lead a nation of 850 tribes out of the wilderness when the nation was reeling under colonial imperialism.
We were in a period of gloom and doom.
Attaining the freedom of independence that we now enjoy was uncertain.
I prefer a communist dictatorship style of government to govern a multicultural tribal nation such as ours.
However, Sir Michael was a God-given leader who chose democracy and had worked for to uphold what we today take for granted and enjoy without knowing its real value.
I salute you Sir Michael.
You are the master architect of democracy molding the 850 tribes into one people, one nation and one country.
