Governor Sir Peter Ipatas is calling on Enga students within and outside the province to hard study and achieve high academic results.

Sir Peter also wants students of Enga origin to become good role models among other students.

He said this when presenting four new Toyota Coaster buses to Enga Teachers College, Sopas School of Nursing and Institute of Business Studies last Thursday in Wabag.

He presented two buses to the Enga Teachers College and one each to Sopas Nursing School and Institute of Business Studies.

He urged the institutions to use the buses properly for the intended purposes only and not to misuse them.

He said the buses would be used to pick up and drop off students, for students going out on practical teaching, and for staff and administration operations.

“I will continue to invest in education in the province and I want all students to study hard and achieve high academic results,” he said.

Sir Peter urged students from other provinces studying in his province to learn as much as they could and apply the acquired knowledge and skills in their respective fields when they go out after completing their studies.

Sopas Nursing School president Ezekiel Sam Takan thanked Sir Peter for the new bus. Takan described the governor as a man of action who always gave top priority to education in his province with action unlike any other governor in the country.

He said the new bus donated to the college was now easing the transport problem they had in the past.

He added that mobility was very important in such a school where they need to move in and out frequently.
