Snipers to play in-form Phoenix

SNIPERS are looking to overcome Phoenix in tomorrow’s round-nine battle of the National Capital District Volleyball Association competition at the Taurama Aquatic and Indoor Centre.
The main match tomorrow of the men’s premier division is tipped to be entertaining as both teams will meet for the second time this season.
Phoenix captain Samuel Tau said Snipers would need to be accurate in attack and defence in their bid to register back-to-back wins.
“Defence will be crucial for us to contain the Snipers,” Tau said.
“They’re a great side with experience, so our defence will need to be tight.”
Phoenix climbed to second place on the ladder after a 3-0 shutout of Vailima last week. But Tau said there was still room for improvement. “We’ve been hard at training this week, mostly on passing. We conceded a lot of missed passes.”
Meanwhile, other fixtures in the men’s premier division will see Jugu battle U-Mi Yet.
