SNS promo winners to watch NRL grand final

CITY Pharmacy Limited (CPL) Group, through Stop and Shop, announced four winners of all-expenses-paid trips to watch Sunday’s National Rugby League grand final in Sydney, Australia.
One of the winners, 23-year-old Mathias Goro, received his prize at Stop and Shop, Harbour City, Port Moresby, yesterday.
Winners Mary Holland and Emma Orea will also travel to Sydney tomorrow for the grand final between the Roosters and Canberra and return on Monday.
Fourth winner Maeva Lekai claimed the cash prize because she did not have a valid passport to travel.
“I did not expect to win but it’s incredible as this will allow me to watch the NRL grand final live instead of watching it on television in Port Moresby,” Goro said.
Roosters fan Goro said it was a trip of a lifetime.
“I will be in my full Roosters colours to cheer for the team I followed since childhood with my idol being former Roosters and Kangaroos playmaker Brad Fittler.”
Goro is a youth leader at the Four Square Church at 9-Mile but resides at Tokarara.
“Watching it live is something I will treasure as this luck may never come again,” he said.
“I’m a regular shopper at North Waigani. I entered the promotion and I’m grateful to win this trip.
“I thank CPL and Stop and Shop for the NRL promotion.”
