Soccer sets Southern region deadline

ALL affiliated Papua New Guinea Football Association members and associated members from the Southern region are to confirm participation in the Besta Southern tournament as soon as possible.

Besta co-ordinator Simon Koima said teams must confirm participation by October 17 as there would be no late entries accepted.

The tournament will be played in Alotau.

Koima reiterated for the associated members this only applied for those associations that had been granted approval.

He said registration was K500 per team and K2 per player, payment for which can be made to the PNGFA operations account 1000146403, Bank South Pacific Lae branch.

Those wanting to take part should contact Leleki Tarosomo on 71899844 to o confirm accommodation and logistics issues.

Koima said teams already confirmed were from two from Kiunga and Higaturu. 

“Port Moresby Soccer Association, Popondetta, Alotau, NCDPSSA and Tabubil have indicated interest,” he said.
