TEACHERS Savings and Loans Society (Tisa) members have been urged to get a Yumi card for easy of service.
Tisa chief operating officer Luke Kaul said only 24,000 of its 65,000 members were cardholders.
Kaul said with the additional bonus interest for the 2019 financial year totalling K24.7 million paid into their Yumi accounts in May, it could be accessed easily with Yumi cards.
“Members can visit their nearest branch and apply for a Yumi card to access their bonus interest,” he said.
The Yumi card is a domestic debit card that allows a Tisa members 24/7 access to funds in his or her Yumi account.
Members are encouraged to select their Yumi account for salary deposits and loan funding and use the card to access funds.
Withdrawals and payment of goods and services can be done at any BSP ATM and Eftpos terminal around PNG.
Tisa membership consists of registered teachers and public servants nationwide.
Current branch network extends to 14 branches around the country.
It is the society’s intention to establish branches in all the provinces in PNG where feasible.
