NAMBAWAN Savings and Loan Society Limited (NSLS) plans to introduce new products and services for its members, senior loans officer Jane Frank said this week.
“We are looking at a kid’s savings account which is designed to encourage children to save money,” she said.
“We also plan to introduce a one-is-to-two loan, affordable housing products and potential new savings and loans products to suit member’s needs.”
Frank said the society was growing and they were looking at new products that would benefit their members.
“We are also looking at things like insurance, for example health cover for our members among other things.”
She said they also planned to introduce new services like the Kina Automated Transfer System to avoid delays in of funds to members.
“Members banking with Westpac or ANZ experience delays in their funds reaching their account so this will ease those payments,” Frank said.
“We are trying to do automated approval for one-is-to-one loans. Those loans are secured so everything will be done online.”
She said NSLS plans to have its customers access online services and receive mobile alerts through the Digicel mobile network.
“This is because Digicel has a wider network coverage,” she said.
“Currently, the Unstructured Supplementary Service Data is applicable to bmobile users.
“We also plan to station NSLS officers in all branches in the provinces.”
