SOEs buy Fun Run shirts

KUMUL Petroleum Holdings Limited (KPHL) and PNG Ports Corporation Limited have backed Team Papua New Guinea to this year’s Tokyo Olympics by each buying 1,000 Trukai Fun T-shirts this week.Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee’s (PNGOC) fundraising chairman Michael Henao thanked the state-owned entities (SOEs) for showing patriotism and support towards the national Olympic team. He said that it was pleasing to see corporate organisations, business houses and SOEs leading the way in showing support for Team PNG during these challenging times.
The annual Trukai Fun Run event is a major fundraiser for Team PNG’s preparations and participation at international sporting events each year. This year’s fundraiser is geared towards sending Team PNG to the Olympics in Japan which will be held between July 23 and Aug 8.
