Solve water woes in Morata

Letters

I AM calling on Moresby North West MP Sir Mekere Morauta to look into the prolonged water supply problem at Morata.
Various classes of people live in Morata.
Morata has high class professionals, highest number of active students, growing number of kids and toddlers, local farmers, and few start-ups of local small-to-medium enterprises project houses.
There are local farmers utilising great mass of unmarked land for vegetable production hoping to earn an income. Their produce are sold to residents, and in nearby markets.
Residents are venturing into SME projects such as piggery, poultry and sewing.
They have been operating for many years now.
Some of their business activities depend on water.
Half of major public transport providers in the city are residents of Morata.
They have raised the issue of water but received no response.
The residents contribute to the wealth of our economy and deserve a proper water supply system.
Water keeps humans fit and healthy and helps them contribute to PNG’s economy.
We shouldn’t treat people who contribute to PNG’s growth and development like this.
