Some cops not doing their job

NOT all police in the country work honestly and transparently. Some charge people on the highway without good reasons, but only to get money and do not provide receipts to show evidence of a formal payment. I once travelled to Lae by bus and although I was standing when the bus sped away, I was sitting on our way from Jiwaka to Lae. The police fined me K50, but I did not have that much in my pocket and so they reduced it. The PMV crew was fined K5. If the police could work so strictly on the highway, why can they not go into the rural areas to enforce the law and punish those who break it? The society is suffering from law and order issues. Generally, I do appreciate the job of the police as they are trying their very best around the clock to help reduce crime. The police are functioning well, but there are a few who go around abusing the rights of the people.
