South Korea has donated 100 Samsung and LG TV monitors to the Apec Authority for use at the leaders’ summit next month.
Apec Minister Justin Tkatchenko, when receiving the donation from the Ambassador Kymug Kang, said the donation was a result of good partnership between the two countries.
He thanked the Korean people and government. Tkatchenko said PNG was looking forward to hosting the historic visit of South Korean president Moon Jae-in to the summit.
“This will be a historic visit for PNG because we have never had a leader of Korea coming into PNG at all in our history,” he said.
Tkatchenko said the TV monitors would be installed at Apec Haus and would complement all in-house features.
“It will telecast live all meetings of Apec leaders during the summit,” he said.
Ambassador Kang said the government and people of Korea were pleased to support PNG host the summit.
