SOUTHERN Super League chairman Bagelo Solien has warned all 13 teams to complete their registration requirements by close of business today.
He said not all the teams had paid their team and player registration fees in full.
Solien said the cost of player registration was K25. He said Southern Super League would add another K25 to the amount as payment to the Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League (PNGRFL).
Solien said it was important that player registration fees were paid to secure insurance cover injuries.
“All team lists should also be submitted,” he said.
“These payments are crucial to avoid financial complications around injuries.
“We will not be responsible for unregistered players who suffer an injury.”
PNGRFL Southern Confederation director Gwaibo Mairi said: “Make it easy for youself by complying with the registration requirements.
“We have an issue in the Kerema Rugby League competition with Gulf Governor Chris Haiveta paying K19,000, but there is no team list, which has complicated the administrative process,” he said.
“It is our duty as mandated executives to get our administration in order to serve the interests of the players and stakeholders.
“I encourage Southern Super League to comply with this requirement as soon as possible.”
