LLOYD Robson Oval is set to erupt as the Alphones Moroi Cup elimination finals kicks off today in Port Moresby.
In the opening encounter, defending champions Govuone LB Tornadoes take on an inform Poreporena Rhinos at 9am followed by Moriogogea muscling up with Kar Marshalls and Miro Koivi coming head to head with Nadi Brothers.

In the other outings, the Gavuone Stones will face the Baruoro Pythons and Vewala Blacks are also setting their eye on the cup but they first have to stop TI Lahara today in the main cup finals match.
The five-day tournament, with the final  tomorrow, has been trouble free and all thanks to the good law abiding citizens that have come in numbers to support their respective teams.
In yesterday’s bowl and pennant play off, the Adrian Lam Boera Sailors kept their final hopes alive with a 14-8 victory over Lakwaharu to set up a showdown against Maopa KR today in the bowls final.
Maopa KR beat Western Baramandis 14-8 to advance.
In the other bowl’s matches, Maopa Kala beat Veasi Knights 12-8, Taurama Waves narrowly beat the Ted Vere led side, Gabagolo Gaigais 6-4, Morogogea 1 and defeated Kimo Eels Kapari 10-6 in extra time.
Maopa Kaikolo defeated Hisiu Knights 8-6 in an evenly contested battle and Central Waga Hots  made their presence felt with a 8-4 victory over Kar Damini Dolphines.
Meanwhile, Sandy Saints are in for the penant finals after beating Morabi Cowboys 14-10 while Miro Tech Sharks will meet the Saints after thrashing Gavuone Bullets 16-8.
KK All Blacks survived into today’s pennant finals when they beat Inuaia 12-10.
Maopa KV, Egala Auna, Toata Mantas, Vapuama and TI Nadis are the other teams that won the pennant play off.
They face each other to battle in the pennant grand final tomorrow.
