Speaker is right, defer the election

Letters

THE Coronavirus (Covid-19) war is on, and the game of politics is ready to kick off 2022.
We are super ready to take our own courage as an independent nation, under our National Constitution, to use our own set laws to kill two birds with one stone come 2022.
Many lives will be at great risk, and some will be lost, and others will be working hard to keep the rights of the citizens in the war, and in the game, and achieve their purposes.
The Constitution does not allow the deferral of the National Election.
The Constitution also does not deny the rights of a person to live a healthy life.
“Life or death” is the saying that must be echoed to all citizens of this country.
The “voice of the people” are those with political smarts and caring hearts that put people’s lives before anything else and find a legal way to lead for the good and benefit of everyone, and not for one person’s interest.
I personally believe that the current Covid-19 virus risk is very high during election period, and the Parliament Speaker has seen these risks and made the statement to differ the National Election for another year.
We say, “free and safe election”, but now we see “life or death”.
The option is offered by the Speaker to help stop the virus killing our people and run a free and safe election.
In my view, people’s lives are paramount.
Wisdom speaks of life and not death.
I agree with the National Parliament Speaker, differ the National Election one more year.
