Split the district into three

THIS is a request to Enga Governor Sir Peter Ipatas and Lagaip-Porgera MP Tomait Kapili and stakeholders to split Lagaip-Porgera into three electorates.
Lagaip-Porgera is the largest district in Enga in terms of land mass, population and cultural variations.
We are at an opportune time when the National Government is conducting a review on boundaries. We are sure you have been working towards your promise, and hope that we have three separate electorates come 2022.
I extend this call to current Porgera LLG council president and deputy governor Leo Bilip Kuala to take note.
The split has more positive benefits, including distributing the country’s wealth among marginal population and improving service delivery.
The western end of the district such as Paiela, Hewa, Mt Kare and many other areas have not seen any tangible services, even though we host the giant Porgera Gold Mine.
Our action governor, before you bow out of politics, please split the district into three electorates.
