Sports foundation

Letters

WITH regards to appointments in the Sports Foundation office, I am now asking why sports officers have not delivered any sports development programmes in the provinces and districts for the last two years.
Is it because positions are still vacant?
Pacific Games 2015, FIFA Women’s World Cup 2016 have come and gone.
The PNG Games ended in Dec 2017.
There needs to be a proper audit and investigation into the Sports Foundation’s core business of delivering sports programmes in the country. It is supposed to be for the rural people.
This has not been the case.
The PNG Games in Kimbe had its fair share of complaints from some mothers in the community.
The mothers, from church groups, were supposed to have provided catering but the contract was given to a family business.
Satellite venues like Hoskins and Kapore had no proper public toilet facilities, yet, we were told that portable toilets were paid for.
A certain Port Moresby contractor was paid to deliver these toilets but they never arrived.
Seven or so vehicles are lying idle at the Sir John Guise Stadium.
Can Government authorities please check this out?
