Staff give special gift this Christmas

RH Hypermarket staff in Gordon, Port Moresby, donated blood on Saturday to help save a life this festive season.
RH Hypermarket human resources manager Daneilla Tio said this was part of the company’s community obligation.
She said last year, 55 staff each donated 450ml bags of blood to the Port Moresby General Hospital’s blood bank and encouraged her staff to consider donating their blood.
“We want to do this annually. It is good because the hospitals are always short of blood. We have experienced a lot of people that have dengue fever and that is when they will need more blood,” Tio said.
“We have visited the hospital’s and we see their needs and we are happy to do this.”
