The Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League has confirmed that the elimination-round match between Chebu AROB and Eastern Stars will be played at the Papua New Guinea Football Stadium in Port Moresby tomorrow.
NSL manager Leslie Babaga said in a statement that after consulting both teams, they had agreed to move the match from Ceremonial Park in Kokopo, West New Britain, to Port Moresby.
He said the reason for the move was due to the unpredictable weather in the province.
Babaga said the winners of the Eastern Stars-Chebu AROB match would play Hekari United in Port Moresby while Toti City would face Morobe United in Lae in a home-and-away series.
“The format was changed upon the NSL board’s decision,” Babaga said.
The series will be played on May 18 and 25, with the finals set for June 1 in Port Moresby.
