BLUES fan Misiel Jonah says he plans to frame his signed New South Wales (NSW) jersey which he has won by entering a Pacific Breweries Limited competition on responsible drinking.
He is one of eight winners who submitted slogans promoting responsible drinking during the State of Origin series earlier this year.
“I am a staunch NSW fan and this signed jumper will be memorabilia which I will frame and hang up in my home to remind me of the 2021 series win, a win that include some records set by the Blues,” Jonah said.
“I did not think that I would win, there were many Facebook users commenting on the initial post with their most creative slogans.
“I would like to extend my gratitude to Pacific Brewery for running the competition during the State of Origin and congratulations to the other seven winners.”
Fellow winner Julian Kiala, who received a Queensland Maroons jersey, could not believe his luck amongst. He said his wife and two children were Blues fans.
Kiala said he planned to frame his jersey too.
Pacific Brewery human resource manager Doris Navuru said the series saw for the first time a partnership between the State of Origin and the company, makers of Pacific Beer.
“During the series, Pacific Breweries launched a jersey competition on responsible drinking on Facebook where people would have to follow, like and share their most creative slogans to win a signed Maroons and Blues jersey,” she said.
