STC helps fund climate change drive

 STEAMSHIPS Trading Company has given K15,000 to the Office of Climate Change and Development to help the campaign on climate change.

Company HSSE group manager Peter Popena said the firm was keen to work with government authorities in driving awareness and relaying messages of climate change and environmental sustainability to the public.

Popena said environmental sustainability was one of the company’s strategy.

“Steamships is aware of the potential impact its business operations can have on the environment and is committed to minimising some of its operational processes,” he said.
