THE culture of following past precedent is slowing becoming a norm in our society. To follow precedent set in the past is unacceptable and has to stop and our law and court system must take a tough approach and stand against this new practice. Take the Sandaun governor election by LLG presidents as an example where a governor was elected from MPs of the province. If this is going to be the trend, than there will be no need for laws, all we can do is just follow past precedent because someone has already done that before even if it means to break a law.
