CITY Pharmacy Limited Stop N Shop yesterday opened its new outlet at Harbour City in Port Moresby.
Ravi Singh, the chief executive officer of the CPL group of companies, said K18.5 million was invested in establishing the outlet – with K10 million paid by the East New Britain Government and K8.5 million by CPL.
The East New Britain Corporation Group of Companies is the business arm of the provincial government.
“With this location, we are able to cater for the population of Tatana, Hanuabada, Baruni, Boera, Papalea and all the other coastal villages,” Singh said.
“It also gives access to the downtown communities, and all the offices located at this side of the area in Port Moresby town.”
Singh thanked the Human Resource department for employing people living around the area.
William Lamur, the managing director and chief executive officer of East New Britain Development Corporation Group of Companies, said the CPL Group had signed a long-term lease agreement with the ENB Development Corporation and its subsidiary, the ENB Supermarkets Limited.
Lamur said CPL was not only the operators of the supermarket properties but also assisted them to ensure the shop had a new look.
“It is a modernised property, offering customers a new shopping experience with a promised consistent excellent customer service,” Lamur said.
CPL is looking forward to opening the Waigani Central Stop N Shop in the next six months.
