Stop pointing fingers, let’s build our own future

IT  is  not  Adrian  Lam  or the players, so  do not blame them.

Blame ourselves as it is the  culture  that  we have not developed, the dream we have not had and the visions we have not set.

Though we are regarded as a rugby league-mad nation for the years we have been playing it, we have failed to establish the required foundations to be competitive.

It has been 38 years and we are still learning; maybe after 100 years, time will get us there naturally, but time does not change things naturally.

It is man who changes things with time according to visions and long-term plans, but instead of progressing forward, we have developed into a nation of hopelessness without knowing what to do or become in the future.

Sports institutions have been politicised while funds to run them are often misused and stolen.

If this is the norm in the country, how do we expect better results?

If we cannot learn from our past mistakes, we will never do anything great to be recognised in the world.

We will only forever boast about our natural resources until all are gone.
