Strong Opposition needed in Parlt

Letters

TO build a strong nation, we must have a vibrant opposition in Parliament.
In a democracy, a strong and accountable Government cannot happen without a strong opposition.
Government without an opposition simply means the government will be more relaxed than it should be.
Pangu must not be dictators in the Government but must allow democracy to prevail.
We don’t want an opposition that will massage the ego of a failing government but a vibrant opposition that will perpetually keep the Government on its toes.
The Opposition is there to offer checks and balances to the Government of the day.
Without checks and balances from the Opposition, the Government cannot do a proper job of delivering services to the people.
The Opposition demonstrates professionalism, intellectual capacity, and intuitive political confrontation in national affairs so the Government can provide sound policy, uphold accountability, transparency, and deliver public services without favouritism and prejudice.
Without an Opposition, Government will open the door for all forms of corruption, and will not achieve efficiency in the public service.
