Stubbings wins tourney

PAPUA New Guinean Matthew Stubbings won the Bathurst Junior Gold Tennis tournament.
He beat Ryhs Searant 6-4, 7-5 in the final on Saturday. The 14-year-old’s game has improved since moving to Brisbane  in 2011.
His Tennis Australia rankings went from 1060 to 670.
Stubbing’s is currently ranked 11th in Queensland and 68th in Australia in his age group .
Stubbings is a member of the BSP elite development squad.
