Students, priests celebrate feast

STUDENTS and priests of Don Bosco Araimiri Secondary School in Gulf celebrated the feast of St Dominic Savio during a thanksgiving eucharistic mass last month.The event was presided over by the rector Fr Pankaj Xalxo Salesian of Don Bosco and other Salesian priests Fr Joseph Tinh and Herehere parish priest of Kerema, Fr Joseph Tanh to witness the renewal of vows for Br Conrad Vamilat.Fr Pankaj, during his homily, urged the congregation to recognise the presence of God in the life of St Dominic Savio, and. most importantly, follow his footsteps in their life and all that they do.“If he could, why can’t you,” he said.Br Conrad thanked God for the protection and many blessings bestowed upon him during the past years.“I did not know the Salesians, but only the missionaries of the Sacred Heart congregation during my high school days,” he said.“But, I know God had a plan for me and I thank God for showing me the path.” “Many youths lack fidelity and commitment to the vocation because the energy of staying in vocation is prayer.”
