STUDENTS at Vunabosco Agro-Technical Secondary School in East New Britain celebrated Don Bosco’s 200th anniversary last weekend.

Principal Father Edwin Genvia said the celebrations began on Friday and ended on Sunday.

The school marked its 25th year in ENB providing education to students who dropped out of the mainstream education system.

Last Friday, students from all secondary schools in the province showcased their talents in singing and drama.

He said students also got to know each other and talkedabout how they could eradicate schools fights.

“We encouraged peace among students and emphasised to them that they are not a threat to society but rather gifts by contributing their talents and skills,” he said.

On Saturday, Vunaboscostudents displayed technical products and projects to parents and visitors in carpentry, mechanics and maintenance fitting.

Barbecue plates, coconut graters, charcoal burners and mini ovens produced by the students were sold to the public.

On Sunday, students held a cultural event.
