Students to access materials online

STUDENTS and teachers from primary schools up to secondary schools will soon be able to access learning materials online through two online platforms created by the Education Department.
The MyPNG Home Study application and an e-learning site using Moodle was launched by Education Minister Joseph Yopyyopy yesterday.
“MyPNG Home Study application is for students to access learning content while the Education e-learning site is an interactive application where lessons can be taught online,” Education assistant secretary ICT Thomas Podarua said.
Podarua explained that students would not need login credentials to access learning materials.
“There are two accesses for students and facilitators,” he said.
“Students can access materials using the student’s access while teachers can use the facilitator’s access to upload content.
“Content is currently being loaded into the two applications by teachers from Marianville Secondary School for secondary schools’ content and Carr Memorial Primary School for primary and elementary schools’ contents.”
