Super-fast internet service connects Pangia to the world

PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill thanked Telikom PNG yesterday for launching a 4G LTE network at Pangia Station.
“I would like to thank the board, management and staff of Telikom for bringing this network service to a remote district,” he said.
“Folks here will no more travel to Hagen to access internet services.
“I also thank Telikom PNG for expanding its network throughout the country.
“Telikom PNG is the only telecommunications company that is using 4th generation (4G) fastest-internet speed in the country.
“The government has invested hundreds of millions of kina in infrastructure development of Telikom PNG.”
He said the service will allow the people of Ialibu Pangia, and neighbouring districts of
Imbonggu and Kagua Erave to access super-fast internet service.
“You can now go to online libraries, do business, connect with friends and download movies right from here,” O’Neill said.
Telikom PNG chief executive Xavier Victor said they have been happy to take the service to the prime minister’s electorate.
“This is a special and milestone occasion for the people in this part of the country,” he said.
