IN a bid to offer shoppers in Port Moresby additional convenience, RH Hypermarket became the first supermarket in the country to join the BSP’s e-commerce platform, with the launch of its online payments for grocery shopping services on its website on Friday.
BSP said RH Hypermarket launched its online shopping on May 1 but on a limited service of shopping online using the Wantok Gift Card and a scheduled pick up at Vision City.
The demand for online shopping led them to take a step further and collaborated with FMCG Xpress for delivery services last month.
General manager Cheng Chooi Ang said RH Hypermarket was pleased to launch it’s online grocery shopping.
“Through this integration with BSP, we are able to provide our customers a one-stop-shop and added convenience,” he said.
“Customers can simply go to our website, create an account, shop, pay and pick up at the store or select delivery.”
Online payment is fast, convenient, secure for customers, and improves business cash flow with real-time payments.
It offered businesses a platform for expansion and reach whilst focusing on the enhancement of customer experience.
As an enabler of e-commerce in PNG, BSP supported the growth and expansion of organisations, encouraged all businesses to consider moving online, and ensured to support a quick process to get onboard.
BSP has 14 merchants on its e-commerce platform with RH Hypermarket onboard.
