Suspect faces trial

A MAN charged with attempted murder will face trial in the National Court next month after the Committal Court found sufficient evidence against him.
Topa Temba, 43, from Burum, Finschhafen, Morobe, was told by Magistrate Pious Tapil in Lae last Friday, to be in the National Court on April 6.
He was charged with the attempted murder of Joshua Mumzie and Salvation Army church pastor Sibby Vekovi at Back Road in Lae last year.
Magistrate Tapil said the medical report showed the injuries sustained by the two could have killed them if they were not quickly taken to hospital.
Temba told the court that the two had accused him of practising sorcery.
