Systematic corruption

PAPUA New Guinea is not taking off due to systematic corruption and wastage of public resources through squandering by those in positions of responsibilities.
It is time the National Police Fraud and Anticorruption Division comes hard on complaints on abuse of public funds and official corruption through conflict
of interest in engaging own or family business in public procurement.
It is unfair for some already serving five years jail terms for awarding K100,000 contract to family business while others engaged their own family business in million kina contracts
in construction works are yet
to be investigated and prosecuted.
