Take studies seriously

Letters

IN most provinces, cocoa and coconut are no longer as productive as they once were.
This should prompt students across the country to take their studies seriously.
It is so heartwrenching to see many students in primary and secondary schools taking their education for granted.
We are living in a time and age where economically, we are bombarded.
Students, you will regret it if you don’t find placings in higher institutions.
For those of you who are playing up with your studies, you will soon reap the effect of it.
And believe it or not, you will feel a lot of pain if you don’t take your studies seriously and the education system kicks you out. So now that you have the chance, sit down and take your studies seriously.
Why waste your time with friends?
Believe me, when you don’t get a placing in higher institution, your very best friend will never be there for you.
Many students like to drink alcohol in times of school and even smoke cigarettes as they are away from parents.
But students, never forget that a time will come when you will regret the consequences.
That is when you are not selected to higher institutions or when you are expelled from school.
Parents, while you have the time, start advising your children.
If you don’t,believe me, you will have headaches if your children come home being expelled from school or evennot finding
their name in higher institutions.
We all have to work together to build this country.
If parents, teachers and our students play their part well in terms of better education, this country will soar high to greater achievements.
However, if we neglect our responsibilities as parents, teachers and students, this nation will never get better. It will get worse.
Something to think about.
