Talks with Indons start

 PRIME Minister PeterO’Neill, leading a 140-strong delegation to Ja­kar­ta, arrived at the In­do­nesian capital at 11.30pm on Sunday.

The delegation is made up mainly of business representatives and public servants, as well as ministers and politicians, for discussions with their Indonesian counterparts. 

Investment Promotion Authority managing di­rec­tor Ivan Pomaleu met his Indonesian counterpart for talks yesterday.

Indonesian President Su­silo Bambang Yudho­yono greeted O’Neill at the presidential palace, Istana Merdeka, yesterday evening.

They were scheduled to have a one-on-one meeting, followed by a bilateral meeting with PNG ministers, with se­veral treaties and agreements to be signed.

A business meeting will be held today between the PNG and Indonesian chambers of commerce.
