Tax review for long-term changes

 TAX Review Committee chairman Sir Nagora Bogan says the exercise is about long-term changes for the country.

Presenting the committee’s final report to the Government, Sir Nagora said the review not only looked at taxation issues but also addressed problems faced in the country’s political, social and economic context, with changes that must take place.

The committee had recommended changes in the fiscal, tax and trade and investment policies.

“We’ve looked at the broader issue of what is in the best interest of the country, and of our people,” Sir Nagora said.
