TEACHERS have been given their positions and postings for this year, according to Teaching Service Commission chairman Baran Sori.
He said by now teachers should know which school they had been posted to, and what positions they would hold.
“Teachers who cannot find their names and where they will be teaching have to visit their provincial education offices and sort that out before they resume duty on Jan 21,” Sori said.
“The provincial education boards and advisers are responsible for the teachers’ appointments and postings.
“Every matter is to be reported so proper adjustments can be made at their end, and to us for finalisation.”
Sori expects “a lot of teacher movement this year”.
“It is compulsory that all teachers (being transferred to another school) present their official letter of transfer, and their character reference from their previous inspectors to the division, before resuming duties,” Sori said. In addition, teachers are expected to be in their schools on Jan 21 to complete their resumption of duty summary sheets for 2019.
The forms have to be submitted to the commission and the payroll division of the Education Department so that the teachers are registered on the Alesco payroll system.
Classes will begin on Jan 28.
