Teams stepping up as Media Pool heads into business end

WITH four games remaining before the top-16 teams are confirmed, sides are looking to step up as they head into the business end of the Papua New Guinea Media Pool competition in Port Moresby.
Competition leaders Spin Doctors are on 104 points followed by reigning champions CRE 102, Tourism Promotion Authority (TPA) 98, North East Mirror 94, Kool Grafix 87, Free Lancers 84, National Parliament 82 and Kupiano 82 to round out the top eight.
“This is a tough challenge and all the teams are eager to make the top playoffs and advance to the grand final,” PNG Media Pool chairman Tony Sipa said.
“Pace setters Spin Doctors, CRE and TPA are assured of finishing in the top three.
“The rest of the spots are still up for grabs.
“It’s been a long challenge and it’s quite tiring as we approach the end, with the top three enjoying the fruits of their consistency.
“There are no major hiccups and the competition is running smoothly. There is cooperation between the match coordinators and all the cue stars competing in the PNG Media Pool.”
