BMOBILE will be opening new outlets outside National Capital District to give customers a choice of its services and products, an official said.

Chief executive officer Sundar Ramamurthy said bmobile was venturing into other centers such as Mt Hagen, Lae and Goroka because of demand from its users.

It has opened four new outlets at various locations in NCD and re-launched a shop at its head office in Port Moresby.

Bmobile, in operation in PNG and Solomon Islands since 2007 and 2010 respectively, has 85% shares owned by the government through the Independent Public Business Corporation.

Ramamurthy said: “When the PNG Government took over the major shares in bmobile, all retail shops had to be closed because they were enormously unprofitable.

“We’ve revised our retail shop strategy and with a better understanding of the business, we are re-launching them now.

Bmobile PNG chief executive Raj Deo said: “Our key focus now is on network reliability and to offer products that are genuine in value-for-money, while we evolve towards developing more innovative products.

“Customer service is another key area of concern, where users need to have confidence that is dealt with in a timely and polite manner.”

The mobile operator is currently working in collaboration with clients to leverage visionary innovation that addresses the local challenges and related growth opportunities.
