TELIKOM PNG is installing a number of new multi-service access nodes (MSAN) within the nation’s capital to deliver high-speed broadband to residential and small business customers.

National Broadband Network programme manager Jeffrey Bean said the next six months would see the retirement of five aging digital telephone exchanges within national capital region and the full-scale deployment of Telikom’s “next generation network soft switches”, which work with the new MSANs to provide the fastest fixed broadband services in the market.

He said Telikom’s emphasis was on delivering a vastly-improved customer broadband experience.
