Telikom now a graveyard

Letters

I REFER to the news article “Court stays notice on Telikom asset transfer’ The National, Aug 9). It is a sad day as the current Telikom board and management join forces with the Government to liquidate Telikom by way of transferring assets to PNG DataCo. This is unethical of our current leaders, including the Telikom board, the executive management and the Government.  Is this act an avenue created to reduce the price of Telikom so that they can buy into the company? The current board members and management are responsible for running down Telikom since the current board came into office in 2009.  They have never paid any dividends since 2009 and Government took no action but allowed them to further run down the peoples company. Telikom Boroko is now a Club 21 venue. Telikom shops at Downtown and Vision City are closed. All line depots around the country are all on lease. Telikom Rumana now leases50% of office spaces to outside businesses. These are signs that Telikom is run down and about to enter the corporate graveyard.
