PORT Moresby Suburban rugby league star Jerry Teme’s play-making skills were on display at fullback when he led the Kone Storm to a 26-10 win over Brothers in round five of the Port Moresby Rugby League yesterday.
Teme, who is a development squad member of the Port Moresby Vipers, played a leading role in setting up tries for his side at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium.
The nineteen-year-old from Erave, Southern Highlands, who plays halfback for the  Mountain Bulls in the Port Moresby Suburban Rugby League, used his experience to set up  a try but his biggest play of the day was his 90m solo effort to score the match-winner.
The Storm opened the scoring in the first half through winger Alfred Joe for an early 4-0 lead.
Joe went in again for his second four-pointer not long after and was converted by halfback Norman Wandi for a 10-0 lead.
Centre Clyde Kiplin scored next and the Storm was truly brewing with the Kone side 14-0 up.
To their credit, Brothers were not about to go into the break without scoring and winger Solomon Bire scored for fullback Obert Paul to add the extras and give their side some hope at 16-6.
The brethren started the second stanza in the best way possible with another try to Bire, which was unconverted.
The Storm egged on by their fans closed out the game with two more tries for the win.
Results: Kone Tigers 20 Butterflies 12, Magani 20 Defence 18, Hawks 12 Royals 8, Panthers 20 Warriors 14.
