Ten hotels chosen to provide accomodation for Apec delegates

TEN hotels in Port Moresby will be used for accommodation by Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders and their delegates in November.
They are the Airways, Gateway, Stanley Hotel and Suites, Laguna, Lamana, Holiday Inn, Grand Papua, Crowne Plaza, Ela Beach Hotel and Hilton (scheduled to be opened on Sept 15).
Apec Coordinating Authority chief executive officer Chris Hawkins said three cruise ships would also be providing accommodation for the leaders and their delegates.
The Sea Princess will be docked at Motukea. The Pacific Explorer will be at T-Wharf in Downtown Port Moresby. It will be the venue for the Apec chief executive officers’ meeting.
The Pacific Jewel will be at the old Cargo wharf and will be used by the 2000 media representatives covering the event.
“They are floating hotels and they are quite luxurious. (Journalists) will be living and reporting from the cruise ship.”
