Tertiary students to get K262,000 tuition fee assistance

CHUAVE students attending tertiary institutions will receive K262,000 in tuition fee assistance from local MP Wera Mori.
His executive officer David Kopi yesterday confirmed approval and release of the funds by the Chuave district joint budget and priority committee (DJBPC) last week.
He said Mori would visit the universities and colleges around the country to present cheques to students and their respective administration.
“We have gone through a review of Chuave tertiary students tuition fee assistance initiative of the MP and got the DJBPC to approve the funding,” Kopi said.
He said cheques were drawn to each respective institution where Chuave students attended.
Kopi said Mori had established a district education subsidy working committee headed by district education officer Mathias Sugoro.
