Home State Corporation, an importer and a distributor of Thailand products in Papua New Guinea, staged a trade-show in Lae, Morobe, yesterday.

The trade-show, the second to be staged after Port Moresby, was attended by different corporate business entities in Lae, including Lae Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Allan McLay.

The purpose of the trade-show was to promote Thai products and to encourage the Thai company, Home State, to upgrade its role to distribute Thailand’s products in PNG.

Ambassador of Thailand to PNG, Maris Sanjiamponsa said: “Trading was one of the area where we can work together and can expand between the two countries and it is not about competition”.

Sanjiamponsa said it was time for Thailand and Papua New Guinea to work together as there was bigger room for trading.

“I believe in mutual benefits and like to see this concept grow.”
