THIEVES broke into the Sogeri National High School mess last Saturday and stole food.
According to Sogeri police, there was a blackout and the criminals took advantage of it. Police said they had recovered on Monday about a third of the goods stolen but they were still investigating.
They are calling on community leaders to help them with information.
Acting Central police commander Chief Insp Tapp Opai said he had received reports of the incident and was calling on people to look after schools, hospitals, police stations and other institutions providing services to the people of Central.
“When we look after the properties and the people who are working in the province, more people will want to come and work in the province so we can benefit more.”
