THINK Tank Quiz, the first locally produced television quiz show, has returned for season 2 this year and will be telecasted by Kundu 2.

Director of TTQ John Kama said the first show was aired on Monday night last week.

“Its main objective is to improve general and academic knowledge of students and public alike using information and media technology,” he said.

“It is an educational show with a huge following around the country and we hope that the department of education, National Broadcasting Corporation, AusAID and other developmental partners of education together with business houses can support and sustain this programme for the long-term.”

Last year’s winners were Koki and Hohola for the primary category while Gordons Secondary School and Port Moresby National High School came out top in their division.

“The winners in this year’s episodes will walk away with K300 – which has been increased from K100 last year,” Kama said.

All participants on the show will also receive complimentary prizes from our sponsors so as to motivate them to take interest in learning.

TTQ has planned to take the show to other provinces like New Ireland, Morobe, Oro, Eastern Highlands, Chimbu, Hela, Milne Bay and Bougainville.

Kama said there is an open invitation to other provinces if invited by other entities, business houses, provincial government or parliamentarians as a way to promote education in their provinces and showcase to the country.
